The company employs about 200 people. and operates mainly at the Turku shipyard, but also carries out special transports to and from Turku. in the Turku area. Pernotrans has been using the Celesta Plan application since 2011. They have Celesta used for driving arrangements on the truck side and for invoicing throughout the whole company. "A project to implement such systems is never really a particularly comfortable, so doing it with an operator who can tailor the solution to your needs is a very good idea. system exactly the way you want it, makes it a lot easier," says Mika Suomalainen, CEO of Pernotrans. In Pernotrans, the main communication between the supervisor and the schedulers is by telephone, as their special transport operations are mostly based on the yard's own material flow. and the trucks usually have only one load, so that, for example, real-time tracking of transports with unloading points has not been necessary so far. In the design of the shafts and planning and invoicing, Celesta has proved to be a useful tool. "When we introduced Celesta to the forklift side, we noticed a few features, that would be good to have in the system. We contacted Idento about these functions, and the system was smoothly tailored to our needs. This allowed us to automate certain day-to-day activities and thus make them easier to perform. the work of the forklift dispatcher," continues Kinnunen.
